UMCH Higher Education Program accepting applications

The United Methodist Children's Home Higher Education Program is currently accepting applications for Fall 2019!  This program is for students who want to attend UA, Stillman College and Shelton State Community  College.  If accepted the student will have to live in our scholarship home in Tuscaloosa.

PURPOSE:

In partnership with the higher education institutions in Tuscaloosa and Florence we provide a higher education for college age foster youth in both areas. Providing these two homes allows UMCH to care for foster youth for longer periods of their life cycle, ensuring greater continuity and stability in their lives.

GOAL:

To provide college age foster students a stable and loving environment where they can seek a better life through faith in Christ and a higher education. The goal is to cultivate growth in individuals that focus on academics, spiritual and social aspects tailored to each student’s needs

If you would like to visit, you can schedule a time by calling Mary D. Smith at 205-556-1512 or email mary.smith@umch.net
